The Italian professional soccer team SSC Napoli have announced a partnership with South Korean fintech firm Dunamu Inc. that will make the company the official back-of-shirt and crypto-exchange partner of the soccer team for the current and the next season. The logo of Dunamu’s crypto exchange, Upbit, will be featured on the back of Napoli’s shirts for their Serie A, Coppa Italia and friendly matches. This sponsorship deal will come into play for the team’s next Serie A fixture on Wednesday, Jan. 4, against Inter.

The importance of this sponsorship deal is highlighted by Napoli’s intention to expand their fan base in South Korea. At the heart of the Napoli lineup is Kim Min-jae, who signed for Napoli in late July and made his debut in August. The Korean center-back has scored two goals in his first few weeks with Napoli, making him the second-highest scoring Korean to ever play in Serie A. His team currently tops the league’s table and has remained undefeated at home throughout the 2022-23 season.

Dunamu Inc. is a South Korean fintech firm that operates a cryptocurrency exchange platform, Upbit. Upbit is one of the largest coin trading platforms in South Korea, and the sponsorship deal will place the logo of the exchange below the number on the back of Napoli’s jerseys. The company’s logo will also appear on billboards around Stadio Diego Armando Maradona in Naples.

“We’re thrilled to have Upbit as part of the Napoli family and to give our fans and followers in South Korea an even closer connection to our club,” said Napoli president, Aurelio De Laurentiis. “This is an important step in our mission to become a truly global club, and we look forward to a successful partnership with Dunamu.”

Dunamu’s CEO Lee Seok-woo said, “We are honored to be part of Napoli’s family and look forward to a great partnership between two global powerhouses.” He added, “This is a great opportunity to build a bridge between South Korea and Europe, and we are excited to see how this partnership will help to spread the spirit of Upbit around the world.”

The announcement of this sponsorship deal is sure to excite both fans of Napoli and crypto enthusiasts alike. It is a clear sign of the growing acceptance of cryptocurrency around the world, and it is an exciting new chapter for both Napoli and Dunamu.
